BREAKING NEWS: Jazz and Williams agree on 4 year extension

The Salt Lake Tribune reports Williams agent Bob McClaren told them they agreed on a 4 year extension. The deal supposedly earns Williams $50 million for the first 3 years but could be worth up to $70 million if he excercises his option.  A news conference is scheduled for Tomorrow at 4 PM.

Camby traded to the Clippers

Yesterday, Center Marcus Camby was traded from the Denver Nuggets to the Los Angeles Clippers and seems to be pretty dissapointed about it. He was qouted earlier saying "Blindsided, distraught, disrespected...When I first heard about the trade, I felt like I was the scapegoat after all our past first-round exits and failures and lack of defense. I felt it was them telling me that I was no longer wanted and I was the cause of everything that went wrong the last couple years on this team...I'm still in disbelief. I'm still in shock. I still can't believe this happened." Marcus on the brightside your partnering up with newly aquired BD it's not so bad but I bet you wish were on your way back to Massachusetts a whole lot more.

Yao's back on attack or should I say track

As of today Yao Ming is back practicing with his country as they took on the Serbian team in a 96-72 win. Yao scored 11pts in 12 minutes silencing any doubters of his health, he received a standing ovation when he stepped on the court for the first time. He expressed his will to get back on track and come back in better shape than ever to help his Rockets win a title next year, or how about making it past the first round.

Clippers nab swingman Kelenna Azubuike

Earlier this afternoon the Clippers might have gotten another member of the Warriors, restricted free agent Kelenna Azubuike. He signed an offer sheet earlier this afternoon, giving the Warriors 7 days to match the offer which is highly unlikely. Reuniting him  with the only point guard hes ever played with Baron Davis, the swing man is expected to fill the void that Corey Magette left after he signed with golden state for 5 years 50 million. The Warriors and Clippers have played quite the swap game this offseason, should be interesting to see how it plays out.

Summer League Updates #1

OJ MAYO: What we've seen so far is a guy that can find a way to score at will with some great moves but continues to struggle at running the PG postion. A guy that can hit 68 ft buzzer beaters and really dunk the ball embarassing some people along the way. He's averaged a team best 22.8 in five games this summer but with also 24 turnovers. Only time will tell what this guy can bring to the NBA level but Minnesota fans should be kinda worried.

KEVIN LOVE: A guy who is a rebounding machine, but really has seen his scoring fadeaway in these games. Certainly gonna have to work on his post up/downlow presence but is on pace a for a pretty solid NBA career.

ERIC GORDON: Plain and simple this boy is going to be one good NBA player. He averages 19 pts and 6.5 rebounds in just 2 games this summer before getting shut down. Trust us, expect big things

Teams going crazy for the crazy man

Theres been alot of hype going around lately about this mad man noone really knows if its all smoke and mirrors or the real deal. Kings President Geoff Petrie seems like hes in no rush to trade Artest, looking to gain maxium value. We've heard some interesting offerings tho from other teams:

Jerry Stackhouse and Brandon Bass were almost packing there bags to Sacramento until Petrie demanded Josh Howard in the deal last minute, a player the Mavs refuse to part with.

We hear the Lakers are very interested but LO is yet to be offered regardless of reports earlier this week and now that Turiaffs out the door it maybe alot less likely.

Interestingly enough the Celtics proposed an offer that would have swapped Posey and JR Giddens for Artest but the Celtics were unable to land there guy making the deal a wash.

We do know this, Artest wont be playing for the Kings next year as the blood continues to get worse. Well update you with the latest on this fiasco as soon as we hear more.

Posey stings Celts

Well enough with speculation, Posey's skipped town to the Hornets and all though Celts fans are bitter, theres no way you want a 31 year old on your team for the next 4 years for that kinda money. Plus now they can afford to resign Tony Allen who's shown glimpses of greatness in the past and hopefully can achieve that explosive prolific player he once was.

Heres a great article by John Hollinger putting the  tough decision Danny Ainge had to make into perspective.
